Opening with an electric guitar version of “The Star Spangled Banner” this years Kingsburg Swedish Festival Dala Horse Trot was held under much better conditions compared to the year prior. This years Dala Horse Trot competitors were blessed with a run held within the city limits and under mostly shaded streets.

I attended again this year as an observer and took photographs of as many competitors as I could keep in focus.
This year I was also able to participate in the pancake breakfast at which they served Swedish pancakes, a type of crepe, a nice thin pancake with lots of flavor.
Perhaps next year I will also be able to hang around for the parade and a portion of the craft fair.
