Wedding of Michael and Candace – Preview

Couldn’t wait to publish at least a preview of Michael and Candace on their wedding day. Candace and Michael were married Saturday January 16, 2010 at the Heritage Complex at the International Ag Center, Tulare, California. From the reception hall you would have never know that it wasn’t a ski lodge someplace in the alpines with all of the pine trees around the facility.

The wedding was completely an expression of themselves and the love that they share, wonderful to be apart of.

Stomp at Fresno Saroyan Theater

Several weeks ago, on May 19, 2009, I was asked to fill in for my friend over at Third Element Studios on a photo shoot for Visalia Direct Medias‘ local publication of Lifestyle magazine. On very short notice I took the gig and attended the concert to get the photographs posted above. Stomp is a very loud beet driven musical with each person playing a non vocal part in the play. Instruments include the following non-musical objects: zippo, newspaper, garbage bag, and yes even the kitchen sink. Their tribal beat goes to the heart and embeds itself in the brain without even a second thought and the slapstick humor keeps you wondering what will come next.

For those looking for the article and the photographs published by direct media please look for the “Lifestyle” magazine for June 2009. Be sure to have a look at the photographs also included by Forrest Cavale and his partner Zach Niles over at Third Element Studios

Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith

It was with great honor that I recently attended the Steven Curtis Chapman/ Michael W. Smith United Tour concert held at the Visalia convention center as one of their 2 commissioned photographers. Growing up in the Central San Joaquin Valley’s Bible Belt has brought me many great opportunities, this being one of them.

Many thanks to Forrest Cavale of Third Element Studio’s for extending the invitation to photograph the even along side of him.
