Family Photos

Father, Son, Photo

These family photographs were taken with my new mobile studio in the family’s home. A quick setup done at their home and we were off and running, taking photographs in the comfort of their own home. This made for a relaxed atmosphere allowing the models to really be themselves. Thanks for inviting me come make photos of your family, I can’t wait to capture more photos throughout the years to come.

The photos were taken using Einstein 640, Canon EOS 5D Mark II, PLM, Backdrop and Stands and a set of Pocket Wizzards.

Miss M. Senior Portraits

Miss M. was photographed in and around the Visalia Downtown area, on what was one of the hottest September days on record, due to the heat the locations had to be quickly accessed and photographs needed to be quickly taken so that none of us would melt. Images from the shoot turned out great and I wanted to post a link here for those who wish to view a current sample of my portrait work.

Senior Portraits

I was given the opportunity to photograph my neighbors son as they celebrated his graduation from high school. Here is a selection of the images taken during our short 1/2 hour photo session.

Weststeyn Family Portraits

I have come to know the Weststeyn family through the last couple years, photographing their son Mark and daughter Amy for their senior photographs and playing sports for CVC so I guess that it was only natural that I photograph the family when they all came together near the beginning of the summer. This is a sample of the images that we captured. What a beautiful family, I’ll miss you all.

Ms. W Senior Portrait Session 2

After our first session in which we took advantage of the country side Ms. W wanted another session more close to home, with photographs much more focused on her face. Below is a a sample of the photographs taken in Downtown Visalia and Mooney’s Grove.

New Lens

In the examples that you can see below I am demonstrating the focal depth of my newest acquisition a 50mm Canon L Series 1.2F lens, for those that aren’t photo technical like it seems that I am it is a medium telephoto, about 2x in most peoples recognition, with a very shallow depth of field which also allows for images to be taken in much darker places. I can’t wait to get this lens out on the court and fields taking photographs of different sporting events, it will lead to much sharper images of the players which I am attempting to focus on.

In addition to sports endeavors the depth of field will help create interesting portraits for my portrait work.

Kristen and Joel Maternity Session

Beautiful parents make beautiful babies and when you are to beautiful you may end up with twins like Joel and Kristen.

Thanks for the opportunity to take maternity photographs of you Kristen, they turned out great.

Damon’s Senior Portraits

Damon and Ms. S having known each other for so long came as a pair for their senior photographs, each taking their turn posing in the many area’s around Visalia that we visited. The rain just before and during the photographs made it fun for us all as we all enjoyed the rain and the sparkle that it added to the photographs.

Having Ms. S a friend of many years through Mt. Whitney high school along greatly lightened the mood and made every image fun. Many thanks to Ms. S and Damon.

BJ’s Senior Portraits

BJ and I had a great time talking about his hobbies and interests while taking his senior photographs, the highlight was taking photographs of him with his truck, which was supposed to be a lot more dirty than it turned out. Never before had I taken portraits with such a large prop.

BJ was one of the many senior’s that will be leaving the CVC Cavaliers this year and will leave a large gap for another player to fill next year as the Cavaliers start their football season, it’s always sad to see great players graduate, even more exciting though is watching players such as BJ develop into great football players over their four years in high school.

Though the day turned out to be a little cloudy I was happy with every single photograph that was taken, and can’t wait to help through the process of ordering the final images for print.
