Wedding of Michael and Candace – Preview

Couldn’t wait to publish at least a preview of Michael and Candace on their wedding day. Candace and Michael were married Saturday January 16, 2010 at the Heritage Complex at the International Ag Center, Tulare, California. From the reception hall you would have never know that it wasn’t a ski lodge someplace in the alpines with all of the pine trees around the facility.

The wedding was completely an expression of themselves and the love that they share, wonderful to be apart of.

Morning walk through Capitol Park

On some of my recent trips with work I have been traveling to and from Sacramento and have been staying right near Capitol Park, on a very clear morning after rain while walking quickly through the park I captured the photographs seen here.

Day 1: San Ramon, Ca to Eureka, Ca

For the most part today was spent in the car, after completing the work needing to be done for work we took off and threw all to the wind, hoping to find some rest and relaxation along the road to Eureka. Though the weather was what most would call hot we spent most of the day marveling at how cool it was. Few stops were made except to trade drivers and get the fuel that we needed to continue on.

The highlights for the day, besides getting away from work and …

WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider)
Living in the country side and being a digital photographer don’t always go together, though the country side can offer needed space and quiet but also offers some unique challenges, until you have lived in the countryside you may not fully understand. Since moving to the countryside (outside Reedley, Kingsburg, Dinuba and Visalia) just over 2 years ago, I have been in search of good internet. Having been spoiled by the break-neck speeds of the internet offered in major metropolitan area’s I knew that dial-up internet …

Porterville, Ca Airshow Eagle Mountain

For those who wanted to brave the early summer morning chill and give up possibly the only day that they are able to sleep in on a weekend the Porterville Air Show at the Porterville Airport was the place to be if you had a young son, daughter, grandson, grand-daughter, neice or nephew visiting and wanted to capture this attention and allow his imagination to wonder what was really out there to explore.
This weekend last weekend Saturday, June 13, 2009 Porterville, Ca hosted to the Eagle Mountain Airshow. Unlike many …

River Valley Berry Farm Store

Planting berries in the rich soil of the Central Valley was once an impossibility with the oppressive summer heat quickly bearing down on the valley each summer. However advancement in horticultural practices have yielded berry varieties that with some care can be grown in the early spring through the start of the hot summer months of the year. While the heat of the summer days allows sugar full berries it can often ruin them before they are picked, packed and shipped. Just up the street from where I live is …

MCC at FPU

Things may never be as we remember them being, but we can always celebrate the consistency of the things that we have taken part in. Every year for as long as I can remember and as long as my wife’s parents can remember, Fresno Pacific University has been host to the MCC sale. The MCC sale is put on to help the Mennonite Central Committee in their efforts to see Christs’ work throughout the world.
Though a reasonable day trip away from Visalia as a child I remember visiting the MCC …

Lemoore Naval Air Station Bouncing

Click here to view more photographs.

Invited out by my sister and brother-in-law, I spent the evening with my family out watching the jets “bounce”, no this isn’t some sort of top secret rubberized plane that they want to see how high it will bounce after being dropped, it is the term used for practicing landing. Growing up nearby the Lemoore Naval Air Station in Visalia as a kid I often day dreamed about getting a ride in one of these jets and begged for any opportunity to visit the air …

Cavaliers Varsity Baseball Rocks Immanuel Eagles

Visalia’s Central Valley Christian Cavaliers visiting the Reedley Immanuel Eagles rocked the diamond as before returning home with an astounding victory over the Immanuel Eagles baseball team. The Eagles had a hard time connecting with the ball in a way that would bring them runs. The game was full of large plays bringing runner after runner home for the Cavaliers.
Many thanks to the CVC Cavaliers’ Coaches for allowing me to be in the dougout with the players to capture these photographs for the players parents.
