2008 Summer Olympics

How often is it that you get to meet someone that is or may be famous? I don’t think that we ever really know who it is that we are meeting, for instance; I have here photographs of olympic athletes. In their every day lives these extraordinary people are just normal people doing their thing. Bryan Clay below is competing in a college level track and field meet in order to improve his skills as a competitor. I wish Bryan great luck in his indevours to get gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in China. http://www.bryanclay.com/

UPDATE 8/24/2008: I just found on the news report that Brian Clay has won the Gold Metal for the Decathlon. Congratulations Brian Clay on an Olympic Gold Metal.

Additionally I have been amazed at the amount of Olympians that compete that have accomplished their college education in the United States and still compete for their home country, while receiving some of the best training that the United States has to offer. Seen here Vivian Chukwuemeka of Nigeria tries out a new event for her resume, throwing only for a couple of days Vivian out threw her opponents by meters in the Javelin Throw while still working on form. I was not surprised that this talented athlete could pick up a javelin and through with such power on such short notice.
